Girls
and boys in grade four and up are eligible to serve Mass. When they
complete initial training, new servers team up with experienced
altar servers for their first several Masses.

This
comprehensive program includes education/formation in the classroom
setting for students in grades 2 to 10 (grade one students are taught
at home by their parents). Students participate in weekly classes,
retreats, special liturgical celebrations, sacramental opportunities,
and community-outreach projects.

Youth
Ministry at Resurrection Parish welcomes all high school and Middle
School youth. The program encourages students to participate in
building the Christian Community and to celebrate his/her relationship
with Jesus. Through Youth Ministry, young people enjoy the opportunity
to participate in social activities, community service, and faith
strengthening experiences.

Each
weekend Mass has its own style of music. The Adult Choir sings at
the 8:00 Sunday Mass. The Contemporary Choir sings at the 9:30 Mass.
The organist and a Cantor provide the music for the 4:00 PM Mass
on Saturday afternoon and Sunday at 11:30 AM.

regarding the budget, capital expenditures, operational expenses,

Ushers
welcome people to services, particularly newcomers and strangers.
They take up the collections at Sunday Mass, count those in attendance
at certain times of the year, distribute or make bulletins available,
and assist those with special needs.

Sunday
mornings after the 9:30 am Mass parishioners gather in Read Hall
to meet new and old friends over coffee and doughnuts. Two couples
or families assume the responsibility for setting up refreshments.
All are welcome.

BILL'S PLACE

A donation
container for Fr. Bill's Place in Quincy is located at the side
door of the church. On the third Friday of each month a group os
Resurrection parishioners buys, cooks, and serves a meal at Fr.
bill's Place. Your donations help to defray the cost.
Anyone
can help out by baking a dessert. Please leave it in the church
kitchen on the 3rd Friday of the month before 4:00 pm.
On
the third Friday of each month a group of parishioners cooks and
serves a full evening meal to clients at Fr. Bill's Place in Quincy.
Monetary donation to Fr. Bill's Place can be made by using the special
container located at the side door of the church.
On the second and third Thursday of each month parishioners prepare
sandwiches and desserts for lunch.

OUTREACH
COMMITTEE

Christmas
Tree Gifts, Christmas Programs and other projects supporting the
needy.
The
Outreach Committee members respond compassionately to the material
and emotional needs of parishioners. They sponsor the Christmas
"Giving Tree" for children at Sunset Point Camp in Hull,
Mary/Martha Learning Center in Hingham, and Holy Trinity Church
in Quincy.
They also bring plants to the homebound on Easter and Christmas.

VINCENT DE PAUL GROUP

Meets
second Tuesdays of the month. Looking for young hands and hearts
with compassion.
A special
offertory collection is taken up to support the works of the St.
Vincent de Paul Society. This organization helps people in times
of need and crisis. We have exceptional needs within our parish
family.
This
worldwide association of Catholic lay men and women provides emergency
short-term material assistance in the form of vouchers for food,
clothing, utilities, housing, etc. to anyone needing help.
Members meet the second Tuesday of each month in the Rectory.

SACRISTANS

Meets
on Monday mornings after Mass.
Takes
care of altar linens, sets up the altar, etc.
Sacristans
maintain the Altar, the sacristy, and the sanctuary. They prepare
Altar cloths, vestments, sacred vessels, and other items for liturgical
celebrations.
They also inventory liturgical supplies, care for flowers and plants,
tidy the pews, and perform general housekeeping.

the general congregation at the Sunday 9:30 Mass participates in
the Liturgy of the Word, children up to fourth-grade process downstairs
for a Children's Liturgy geared to their level of understanding
and comprehension
Volunteers for this special program receive the necessary training
to make the program a very rewarding one.

Home Visitation volunteers serve the elderly at Queen Anne Nursing
